Huh?!?!?

With only 21% (last I heard) of the US population willing to identify themselves as "Republicans", this is the best the RNC can come up with:

Surely they are bereft of ideas, if this lame attempt at slamming Pelosi is any indication. I'm embarrassed for them...

Look at this lonely blog, it's like a fat girl at the prom, nobody wants to dance with her. Meanwhile, her popular older sister has 201 comments.
"Hey there, ya wanna dance? Just don't step on my feet OK...So how'd you get the nickname Slumpbuster anyway?"
wv-subar: Lately, it's the quality of my jokes and spelling

Hi Yankee Yogi: anything in the pic-a-nic basket for me??

RE: The Topic. I think a lot of people now see themselves as "Independent" (and might be registered as such.) So it may not be a victory for the Left, as much as a victory for the Fringe.

From reading the last blog and the comments thereof of folks (an of-of sentence), I guess I should start reading hartal's posts again.
I'm assuming hartal's "no one". Right?
As for this one, I'm not sure where our hostess came up with the 21% figure. Nevertheless, there's a certain sad embarassment with the Republicans that seems, oddly self-destructive. So out of touch with reality that they seem almost fictional.
So...is there an actual strategy behind this? Is the "out of touch" thing intentional? Is there a master plan (probably concocted by Rush L's writers and guides) as awaiting a failure to pounce like a maniacal fuckhead that will, once again, panic the populace?

It seems like just a big game in lieu of doing what's right for each citizen and resident of America.

The 21% came from a poll about two weeks ago, I think.

WT - I don't think it's a victory for anyone, certainly not for the country.

Signed - Your hostess who is to lazy to sign in this late...

wv: aphoosse - the sound the cushion on Rush L's chair makes when he sits on it...

The current republican disarray is temporary. Cheney's icy defiance is the real face, right now. They are willing to pay the price of unpopularity for a while because they "accomplished" so much after they stole the election in 2000.

Recent article in the New Yorker about Ch. J. John Roberts should send chills through your blood. The SCt is packed with a right wing zealot majority. Even in 8 years Obama may not get the chance to change that imbalance.

The true republicans, the ones with the power and money and surpassing greed, make up what -- 1% of the population? If their fan base swings between 20% and 60% over the course of a few election cycles, do they care? Not if they capitalize on the high times.

Kennedy, of course, is not a "zealot." I got a bit carried away with my anti-republicanism. But . . . .

So the headline today says Sotomayor is Obama's SCt pick. Good.

Yogi, if *that's* the sort of thing you carry in your basket, I'm sorry I asked. ;-)

Ferret: Agreed.
